Regrettably our Summer term meeting was cancelled.
Our meeting notes for the OGA Spring Term Meeting 2019 are available. The meeting was well attended and proved to be informative. We hope to follow up on the topic of Child and Adolescent Mental Health: Progress in Oxfordshire at a future date.
Our Autumn Meeting was again very well received and the venue at Wheatley Park School was found to be very accessible. The morning included the OGA AGM and an explanation of the role and work of the Strategic School Partnership Board by the OGA representative, Stan Terry.
Our main speaker was Dr Tony Breslin FRSA the author of the RSA report
Who Governs Our Schools? Trends, Tensions and Opportunities
The RSA report is the product of an 18 month scoping study funded by the Local Government Association, The Elliot Foundation and RSA Academies, and supported by an Expert Group that drew participants from these organisations and from the National Governance Association, the Association of School and College Leaders, the Catholic Education Service, the Centre for Public Scrutiny and Breslin Public Policy. The PowerPoint Presentation from the event is available to view. The quite lengthy RSA report is also linked: Who governs our schools_ Tony Breslin
